This is an amazing gem in the Southend neighborhood/ bordering the Back Bay Area. Cozy space, decorated modern and welcoming, and 1980’s Italian dance music playing moderately loud in the back ground. 15 tables inside and 5 tables outside (w/ heaters). Service was impeccable! Everyone friendly and attentive. Food came out at the perfect moments and our wait staff noticed we were missing forks and quickly got them without us having to ask. The food was amazing!! Best Italian food and service we’ve had in years. Must come here if you are in Boston!!

So far the best Italian food I’ve had in the city has been in this restaurant. Went for dinner. All the appetizers the calamari, arancini, beets were amazing. The main entrees all received good feedback from our group. The tiramisu and pistachio desert were not too sugary, just perfect. The staff are courteous and were always available and checking on our group of 6. The restaurant has very cozy, warm vibes. It was great for a group of 6 but I can also see it as a perfect place for a date, meet someone. Overall, I will return and totally recommend!

Gigi’s had the most wonderful atmosphere for a dinner date night. We got the Chicken Parm and Rigatoni alla Vodka. Such delicious, rich flavors. An instant classic. Their interior designer should be as proud as their chef.

Went at 11 AM without a reservation and sat at the bar. The service and food were both incredible. Great place to come for a special occasion. Seriously the burrata and rigatoni alla vodka were some of the best dishes I’ve ever had in the Boston area. We loved our bartender, he was so friendly and gave us espresso martinis and dessert on the house for our anniversary. We were smiles ear to ear when we left. Thank you so much!

Thomas is an amazing bartender. The espresso martinis were delicious. This place also has a great house dirty martini. I highly recommend - great place for a date night or out with friends!

Located in Back Bay area, cute Italian restaurant with a great drink selection and a bar. Service was excellent, and staffs were attentive and friendly. Bolognese was great. Flavorful and rich, and just the right amount of aromatics. Octopus was delicious, and well cooked. Tender and not chewy, but just the right amount of bite, and you can taste the charred flavor. Aroncini was decent. Creamy inside and crispy outside, but can be more flavorful.

Friendly staff and nice atmosphere, yet the food tastes “bland” and nothing exciting, especially compared to the original Giacomo’s. The calamari was fresh, but lacks the depth of flavors offered by the original Giacomo version.

We were excited to try Gigi after all the hype we saw online and the exclusivity portrayed, however we were very disappointed by our experience. The tables were too close together to the point where it was difficult to get to your seat between them and others’ conversations were distracting. We ordered the tuna crudo to start and while delicious, it came with a measly 3 crackers. From there everything was rushed- the server was pushy about getting our order in and taking plates and glasses away (before we were even finished), the food came so quickly that we barely had a chance to enjoy our first drinks, and both the pasta and risotto were completely undercooked. We were pushed out the door within an hour. It was unfortunately clear that getting numbers in the restaurant is highly prioritized over providing quality food and service.
